Boeing F/A-18E/F Super Hornet

The F/A-18E/F Super Hornet is a twin-engine, carrier-capable, multirole fighter aircraft based on the McDonnell Douglas F/A018 Hornet. It is the successor to the Grumman F-14. It can carry air-to-air missiles as well as air-to-surface weaponry, thanks to an inbuilt 20mm M61 rotating cannon. The aircraft is equipped with five external fuel tanks and can be converted into an aerial tanker. The super hornet took to the air for the first time in 1995 and is still in use today. 608+ Super Hornets had been constructed as of April 2020. It was supplied to Kuwait and Australia, where it is still in use by respective militaries. This airplane has a price tag of up to $66.9 million dollars.
